Even consistent traders have losing months. Treat this as what steady returns would do, not a forecast.
How the compounding calculator works
Compounding means each period's return is earned on the balance including earlier gains. 3% a month is not 36% a year; it compounds to about 42.6%.
Formula: balance = start × (1 + r)ⁿ, plus any regular deposits, each of which also compounds from the period it's added. Small changes in the rate make big differences over many periods, and so do drawdowns.
