How the pip value calculator works
A pip is the standard price step of a currency pair: 0.0001 for most pairs and 0.01 for pairs quoted in Japanese yen. A standard lot is 100,000 units of the base currency, so one pip is worth 10 units of the quote currency per lot.
To get the value in your account currency: if your account is in the quote currency it's 10 per lot; if it's in the base currency, divide by the price; otherwise convert with the quote-to-account exchange rate.
